At CORE FOUNDATIONS, we have implemented the Functional Patterns training system, which places emphasis on patterns of movement that are aligned with the evolutionary development of the human body. Such movements include standing, walking, running, and throwing, which are all ingrained in our DNA. We believe that being better balanced within nature's rules translates to better movement and performance.
Unfortunately, many of us have adopted lifestyles and exercise routines that move us away from these rules. As a result, repeating dysfunctional patterns can cause our bodies to become accustomed to these movements and constrict our natural movement, ultimately increasing the risk of injury.
